Kimberley Lathe, CEO of Axe Group said “The Telstra Business Awards are Australia’s pre-eminent national awards program for medium businesses. Being named as a finalist in the Telstra Business Awards in both categories, Medium Business and Innovation is a great honour. It reflects the technical excellence, commitment to deliver and fresh thinking approach of the entire Axe Team.”

Axe is a pioneer in its field, developing intelligent software to automate the historically manual processes associated with the insurance industry. Axe broke new ground with the first rules engine to generate the front end application interface and seamless generation of smart web and mobile applications.

It also created next generation intelligent systems which are fully XML based. The company’s Axelerator Smart Business Platform automates complex rules enabling straight through processing - both online and via mobile technology.

Kimberley Lathe said “We see our unique value-add in solving this complexity to unlock the potential of our clients to operate in real-time, thereby driving revenue growth, reducing the costs and strengthening their customer relationships.”

Today Axe works with some of the top 500 companies including AIG and Westpac delivering innovative solutions using its internally developed Axelerator technology. It also delivers Entreprise Content Management systems using other leading vendor software.

Axe’s goal is to be the leading global innovator in insurance systems within five years and they are already well on their way having won the IBM International Beacon Award for an insurance industry solution, the MIS Innovation Awards for excellence in the use of technology in insurance and the AIIA iAward recognising innovative solutions.
